Will I make Banana nut muffins today?

Yes, I will.

Random blog update because my brain is stuck.

Cartoon Network posted the "Titanimal Kingdom" short I storyboarded last Saturday.  Ben Jones directed it, and Danny Kimanyen, Derrick Wyatt and I drew the designs.

Stuff...same ol' same ol'....

Hello Hallo-Week!

Halloween is almost here!  Here is a little Halloweeny drawing.

"Sonar Serenade"
4x6 for the Trickster Halloween show in Berkeley, California! The gallery show opened this past Friday, and this piece might still be available.

For my birthday this past summer, a good friend gave me a GIANT post-it pad.  It's amazing, I love it!  My scanner dropped some of the blue and yellow.  Oh well.  I think this paper size is 12x12 inches?!

This week's Poop brought to you by the letter Pee.

Derpa derpa doo doo.

I drew a girl on a post-it looking annoyed. What else is new?

Cartoon Network has started airing new episodes of "Batman, the Brave and the Bold" on Friday nights. I got to board on some of those.
Disney XD is going to start airing "Avengers" October 20th. I started on episode 18 and on, drawing some characters. Lots of people running around in their underwear. And who doesn't love underwear?

If you do like super heroes, aliens, and other odd critters, please check out my friend's app! He is drawing many Avengers for you, please contribute to his coffee and Subway sandwich fund! Thomas Perkins: A Collection of Odd Folk!!

Anyway, here are some random scribblings that aren't work related from the last couple of months. Things are crazy!

Eating babies is not COOOOOOL!

Lots of anxiety this week, not necessarily bad. This week is my last week of work. Who knows what will be next, but I have some other stuff I need to finish up anyway, so a small break would be welcome. Anyway, here's some stuff, from towards the end of 2009. I should try to draw guys next time, instead of drawing stupid girls.
Post-It Palooooooooza!

A girl who is too cool to be anyone's friend, so her best friend is her green jacket.

Hot pink girl that everyone has drawn at some point in time.

Little fuzzy alien doesn't realize that the Space Trooper girl who just saved his life from a giant glob monster does not want to be his friend. You should have seen the epic battle, too bad I didn't draw that.

Yeah, I said no more fanart in 2010, but this was technically drawn in 2009! (some of that stuff drawn in 2009 wasn't actually fanart.)

Here is some freelance stuff. I made my first mouth chart ever for this guy, I did not design him. I also made a crappy dialogue video for overseas reference, this isn't done very well, but this line has had me cracking up all summer. He was in a cartoon Friday night. (I don't think eating babies in real life is cool at all. Cartoon alien poop babies is another matter.)

I'm going to try taking art classes this year. Need all the help I can get.
IMPORTANT UPDATE!:
A REAL STRAWBERRY CRAB HAS BEEN FOUND! CLICK THE PHOTO TO GO TO THE ARTICLE!

I know what I'm going to be doodling with my upcoming free time. ^x^

Aprul Fuls!!

Why is this April Fool's? Because it was drawn by a fool!

I did not design Sari! Derrick Wyatt did! I got a few emails the past week for requests for Sari, since some people actually like her. Hey I do too! I'll wave my dork flag proudly, whatever. As far as drawing her, I've never drawn this version of her, ughhhhh....... Sari is owned by Hasbro, even though they will probably never make a toy of her or use her for fruit snacks.

Hey! It's Glyph! Derrick told me to put her up here. She was colored by Claire Lenth, who also does fabulous drawings! Bother her so she will actually post them!

These sketches were made while I was unemployed for five billion years. During that time Claire was also unemployed for a bit, so we would go hang out in this wonderful magic kingdom above an Anthropologie store, drinking tea along with Pinkberry yogurt. There was also much manga reading, and many copic and tria markers.

I drew some stuff that wasn't Transformers related then also. That is for another time. Oh! Skippy has a fan page too. Now he is much chubbier.

Glasses Bunny stares into your soul, he knows how you really feel.

Figured this out from Tom Perkins. Did you know you can embed graffiti from Facebook? I didn't cause I'm dumb. This is from a month ago. When I was inbetween jobs. ;)

Click the pony to watch it being born!

On a random note, I just found out my cousin has a bike named "Megatron". I think it's supposed to be named after her sister "Megan". They're both in college.

My brain broke itself.

I'm going to have the stuff I am supposed to be doing finished soon, promise. My work got extended a few more weeks, which is good for me at least.

If you hate anime, maybe don't bother clicking on the links.
Video Time
(Thanks to Jeff Chuang for letting me know about this.)
People have been compiling animation made by specific artists and uploading them to youtube. People have been IDing scenes with their Disney and Warner animators for years. I just thought it was interesting that there are compilations of some of the
Gainax/Ghibli/Madhouse/etc. animators. Search for "MAD", and that will bring up tons of stuff, although not all of the videos seem to be specific to one animator.
There is alot of kicking and punching.
Hiroyuki Imaishi animation reel
"Namco X Capcom" op by Production I.G.
I think the guy above might have directed this, but I can't find any confirmation of that.

You Yoshinari reel
Tetsuya Nishio reel

...and here is some stuff that's just cool.
Skateboard + Balloons
Persian Kitten Army
"Merbabies" is creepy, and cute. I used to watch it alot.
"Pick up all the trash, put it in the bag, BUMP! BUMP!"

Little random post-its from the last few weeks. Drawing hasn't been working lately, these crude little warm ups help a little.
(fixed: Weird they were showing up for a couple of days and blogger somehow lost them.)
