Freelance from the grave!!!! Dun dun dun!!!!

Four billion years ago, I did some freelance. Unable to get full time work as an artist for lack of experience/skillz, I was able to work on this project. Wasn't sure what came of it, but lookee here! www.hulalagirls.com So there are toys and stuffs for buying. I didn't build the site or alot of the flash/color cleanups, but most of the drawings I did under the direction of the client. It was alot of long hours, learning, and work, but it's definately prepared me for future endeavors. Maybe someday I'll get to do something of my own that also has happy creatures? :D

*This was not drawn in 2002 but it sure looks like it. >:P

WOW That must be pretty exciting, (or at least a few drops and a pinch of exciting) to have your characters turned into merchandise! Really cool!

DAMN! you gots skillz girl!

Surfer gals are always a hoot, especially when they are cuties. Old smoking women with little dogs and bathrobes arn't as cute, but are just as cool.

cheers to you

That's so cool. Are they supposed to be a line of dolls, or is it for a whole cartoon show? Either way having your designs turned into toys must be pretty exciting.

Cute hula girls.

The yoshi's island ds isn't as nice as the original, unforetunately; the lines aren't as bold or rough and the music is as catchy. Also little things in the presentation were missing from the original; like the clever boss battles and the way the show the next yoshi take off from the goal line once the babies been passed on.

The game itself is still a ton of fun, and the baby swap actually makes it a lot more excitingwithout convoluting it.

Wow... I actually have a problem relevent to this. I was supposed to do work for a client but he refused to sign a contract. So now I'm not going to do the job. It was the same kind of character design deal.
