Please help save the chickens of Othello, WA

My hometown is in a video competition to get an MRI machine for the hospital. They don't have one. One comes every Thursday on a truck, if you need a scan any other day, you can drive an hour to the next nearest hospital. This time of year can be bad, roads get shut down and make it hard to travel. The people in the video work at the same hospital my Mom works. Yay! It's almost time for Halloween!
Boo! Everything is on fire and the sky is dirty!

To get in the mood for Halloween, there are two creepy art shows this weekend.
The Lisa Frank reject is for a show at the "It's a Grind" coffee shop in Diamond Bar this Saturday. 'Cause beatnik zombies like their brains caffeinated.


The other art show is in Culver City, Oct. 26th, at the"Wonderful World Art Gallery".
Artsy sisters Miss Mindy and CJ Metzger will have stuffs there, and there are supposed to be some original "Nightmare Before Christmas" storyboards on display there too.

I am going to miss both shows, I am too sleepy and I'm going to see a "Cirque De Soliel" show for the first time this weekend. YAY!

"Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann" just finished in Japan. It is really good. Hopefully the dvd's are released here soon. The robot is drawn way to small, wonky. Robots are hard to draw!

Here is my block for the quilt Amy Wolfram is making. The theme is superheros so I drew a random super villian. The top one is fabric paint, the scanner made the colors super weird, but they were weird already. I am messy. Boooo....

Sorry, haven't been around last few weeks. Currently catching up with old email this week. Been SUPER busy with work, freelance, and stuff that can't be posted. Have come to the conclusion that I can't really go more than a couple of days without sleep like in college. Stomach flu has been going around at work, haven't caught it yet, but had a nasty cold, and sneezed all over alot of people, Skippy, and guinea pigs.
So the last couple of days of free time I was trying to draw monsters. Somehow it turned into a group of people living in a land of monsters, and apparantly there is some sort of drama. And a little monster with a backwards baseball cap. I guess doodling isn't much different than a kid playing with their toys making up stories. Ahiru/Duck (girl with the reddish braid) is from "Princess Tutu". I drew her first 'cause I was seeing if I could draw her on model, but her hands are jacked up,her head is way too big, and her legs need to be straighter. Almost just drew over her, but it was too fun coloring everything. Ramble ramble ramble...

Back to monsters...


A bunch of my friends have had babies recently. Congrats on the newest baby boy! Another friend's baby is turning one this weekend, congrats to you too baby. Make sure to drink lots of milk with those edible crayons.
All of the babies I know are cute and happy. They are not greasy babies. The greasy babies were drawn during a phone conversation with a friend, and the topic was "everyone is having a baby!".


Hey, this is what my computer has been doing to me lately. Is it a graphic card problem? Everything else works fine, and it's not like this all the time. It goes away after twenty minutes or so. Poor Dell is five years old. I have been cheating on him with my manly Cintiq at work. Poor guy.

Snow Lady VS. the Last Ninja

Silly ninjas, they did not factor in that they were fighting in an all white snow field, and they are dressed in black. They could not hide from the crazy yuki_onna.

This is for "The Ninja Show #2", Aug. 11, 6pm-11pm. It's due today, yeah, nothing like turning something in last minute. Yippie for busy/anxiety. It's really hard to think of something to do with ninjas, it feels like everything has been done already. Maybe it is burnout. So I took the easy way out. Eh. The paper is buckled, that's why there are some weird dark blotches on the scan.

My friend the Boogervampire and her boifran painted a guitar! I think it's pretty cool! It's going to be at the show too. Guitars are cool.

Other than being attacked by a small Naruto child with a packet of mustard in the hallway, and the insane crowds, I actually had alot of fun. I met alot of nice people, phenomenal artists, and just enjoyed being somewhere other than LA. Thank you, thank you, thank you to everyone who gave me signings and doodles, I wish I could scan them all in. My brain is currently regenerating, but I think it was worth it. Sorry to anyone I missed, it was so huge, and people weren't always at their booths, but you have to go to the bathroom and shower sometime. So, GOOD JOB! Anyways...

If Wonky Batgirl was going to the San Diego Comic Con, what would she bring in her utility belt??



A tomato, for when she goes to panels. She can throw them at people who ask stupid questions about why A character won't hook up with B character. She can also throw the tomatos at exclusive screenings of stuff she has decided will suck, even though she actually hasn't seen any footage yet and the crew is working long hours and putting their heart and soul into it. YAY!!

Circus circus!

I think I drew a circus 'cause everything has been kinda hectic, but good and entertaining. Or maybe circus' are cool, and I'm tired. Deep.

This is for the Silent Art Auction to help families of Burbank, CA who are in need. It's going to be this coming Saturday, June 30th, from 6-7:30pm at Cartoon Network. It looks like there will be a menagerie of amazing artwork and memorbilia there.


I wanted to draw some circus puppies to go with the big piece, but I don't have time. I think someone else will be representing with the cute puppies though, so watch for that on the auction site.
