Tonight I went to dinner at this wonderful Italian restuarant in Pasadena. The chandelier there was amazing. It had all this beautiful glass/crystal, and had silver charms hanging from it, along with forks and spoons. Charming indeed. It's hard to tell with these photos.

This Nightmare looking guy is from the playstation 2 game, "Okage Shadow King". I haven't had time to play through. The designs are neat in the game. These toys are hard to find. I lucked out and found him at the video game store in the Burbank mall. He is the butler in the game for the Shadow King. The bad guy is the protagonist in the game.

Witches found at Comic Con. They are from an anime called "Tweeny Witches". I would like to watch that show someday. Seems interesting. (Beast Boy's foot is that white piece of paper)

Other stuff that has been going on this weekend. I went with Valerie to Stuart Ng's this weekend. We had dinner at this place called "Musha", a japanese pub. There is also one in Santa Monica. It was soooooooooooooooooooooooooo good! There is a large stone table everyone sits around, and you order appetizer type plates and share them with people in the rest of your group. It was the best meal I've had in awhile. Highly recommended.

I also saw "The Corpse Bride" this weekend. It was pretty good. I don't want to compare it to "Nightmare", but there wasn't as many bells and whistles in it. It was still a beautiful film, and there were alot of nice bits in it. It's dedicated to Joe Ranft, who tragically passed away recently. He was a very important talented story artist at Pixar. There was also a piano near the beginning of the film that had Harryhausen engraved on it. I would like to see it again just for the eye candy. The theatre we saw it in the sound levels were way distorted, so I do need to see it again. Couldn't tell what the characters were saying during the Bone Jangles song. POOP ON EDWARD'S THEATRES! Well, whoever worked on the movie, GOOD JOB!!! :D

I got to play the first "Katamari Damacy" game at Val's. She's right, the physics in that game are INSANE! Stoopid link of the day:

Oh my goodness gracious!! Has anybody seen this? I must watch! This page says that the same artists involved in the 1970's-80's Sanrio movies worked on this. Apparantley, it is very hard to find, even in japan. I love stuff that looks like this. SO COOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

When I was in 4th grade there was play that every child in Washington State had to be involved with. It was for the centenial and was called "Washington for Me". I got to be the Geoduck girl and dance around with a bucket, and big straw hat. It was cool. The song went:
"Gooey duck, gooey duck, get a gooey duck,
get a duck, get a gooey duck,
Give a duck a day..."
Which sounds rather offensive now that I'm older. (I just found the song, the scary thing is, I got the words right after all these years.

The apple IIgs game "The Oregon Trail" came up at work also. I did not realize it was such a widely played game at schools during the late 80's early 90's. We had to have five or six kids per computer it seemed. An explanation here for anyone who doesn't know.

No drawing today 'cause I left the post it at work. I had dinner with Mary at the new Macaroni Grill at the Sherman Oaks Galleria. I drew a demon cat but I didn't take it.

No oil change today...

...but the car is still super dirty. The car does not need oil changes except for every 5,000 miles for the first 15,000. Yippeee!! So today's theme is break out the sweaters, and the lion is very golden book. The red was pretty, it looked like it would be a nice lion mane.

Halloween!!!

It's almost here! One of the bestest days of the year!!!! The drawing from yesterday was stupid, so I did another drawing that is also stupid. Yesterday's looks like SkyDoll. Not that it's a bad thing, but that wasn't on purpose. Just enjoying a clean drawing desk and not paying attention to what I'm doing. It feels like Autumn. Clicky for bigger image.

There seems to be alot of July Films going on in her sweater. If that makes any sense. I got to see an episode with a big bear in it today. I think it'll air in November.

That's what I did this weekend. Ooh, and prolonged freelance, and I'm starting on a long needed personal project. Also, I made a new crappy cover for my portfolio site, which I should redo, 'cause the hands ick me out. As do other things.

Labour Day Weekend

I cleaned and went through artwork, alot of old freelance and other stuff that I don't even remember drawing. I'm going to go pick up some folders and such for them tomorrow. That's all I did this weekend. I was being stalked all day....


Obviously, my adversary is skilled in the art of camouflage.

One good thing about having a blog, it forces you to do something new everyday. That's for sure. Hooray for three day weekend! Maybe there will be time to get all the ideas in my head on paper. Everything that has been going on in the world is too much to comprehend. Drawing silly little foofy things is an escape. Artists are lucky.
